BEEF Mr Roger Bowling, Crompton Farm, Haxby.
We have had a working relationship with Roger and his son for nearly four years. The cattle are sourced nationally and traceability makes it easier to ensure a constant supply of the cattle that produce the kind of meat that we and our customers appreciate. Also all cattle are sourced and bred for customer satisfaction before profit. The animals are fed ad lib, and as natural as possible. Nature plays a large part in the final product and it isnt always perfect! The eating of the product is important to the farmer, the retailer and the customer. These farmers have extensive knowledge but are always learning about customer demand.

PORK

Colin & Jill Piercy, West Moor, Stillington.
They produce some of the finest pork in the country. The pigs bred specifically for Allums are fatter as this is how our customers like them and it works better in the manufacturing of our pork pies. The pigs bred are all gilts(lady pigs) as they produce an all round superior meat. Also all pigs are bred and reared outdoors to keep infections down.

LAMB Michael Bennett, Laytham Grange, Seaton Ross & Martin Benson Southfield Farm Foggathorpe.
As father and son-in-law Michael and Martin, this relationship is one of the most hard working as producing the perfect lamb is difficult, yet it is something both of these farmers are continually striving for.
Martin produces the early lambs, some pre christmas, which involves a lot of hard work around the clock. The lambs are reared indoors until early spring when the grass begins to grow.
Michael produces the later spring lambs, which means we receive a continual supply of top quality lamb, bred and reared just how we like them.
