WELCOME TO ALLUMS BUTCHERS
The business was started in 1945 by Albert Allum in Wakefield Market. Meat was rationed to Albert and he was the first to sell heifers (female cattle). He went for quality not quantity. If he had sold bulls or steers (male cattle) it would have enabled him to sell more meat. The concept of quality not quantity was born!

Jonathan is the third generation of the family and runs the business from modern shop premises, which allow for continued growth.

Product quality is of the utmost important and to achieve this here are some of the things that help:
Solid working practices and relationships with the farmers who produce the type of meat we like to sell.
Consistent standards are important in the sourcing and manufacturing, as this helps to produce a top quality eatable product.

Customer feedback is very important as this allows for continual growth of the business.
Trust in the farmers is one of the ways we achieve the quality that we demand because we leave it to those that know(the farmers)!

We strive to produce top quality meat and we do this with the help of some very conscientious and knowledgeable farmers.
